Side-by-Side Hunting Tips
Side-by-sides are amazing hunting vehicles! Their impressive off-roading abilities, high hauling capacities, and abundance of storage space make them the perfect choice for hauling hunting equipment and game through the woods. For more information on how to successfully hunt with a side-by-side, check out our tips below.
Go Scouting
As stated earlier, side-by-sides let you explore your hunting location and make a more realistic estimation of the area. This is more advantageous when you are in unfamiliar territory. Scouting the spot with your side-by-side is better than surveying on foot, which can be both exhausting and unsafe. Your vehicle will also help you cover more ground in less time than you can on foot.
Keep Daylight in Mind
When out hunting, you may be tempted to stay out a bit longer to see if you can get one final catch. That’s a dangerous thing to do when the daylight starts to dim. Even if you manage to see and shoot your prey, it’ll be tougher for you to dress and break the animal down in order to haul it back to camp. If you do manage to do that, driving around in the dark with your trophy weighing down your vehicle can be a real challenge. Go hunting when the light is good and the weather pleasant. Don’t stay out past dark as you won’t be able to see well and obstacles in your path that could mire you.
